Conversation Classes
Interested in learning Spanish, Italian or French? If you are looking for a weekly lesson taught in person CasaLingua may be exactly what you are looking for.
In-Person Classes
My small face to face group lessons are taught in Shotley Bridge and all run in blocks (typically between 6-8 weeks) in line with school term-times. Course materials are provided each week plus students have the option to subscribe to an online portal for additional resources and support.
Zoom Classes
All online lessons are recorded so that you can re-watch lessons or access classes that you may have missed. Course materials are also available on an online platform (no extra cost) for you to download whilst attending the course.
Groups: November Timetable
Group lessons usually run on the same day, time and venue from one term to the next with many students continuing for months (or years!). It is important that you feel comfortable with the level of the group and, although classes are levelled, this may not match with classes you have previously attended or researched. Please get in touch if you need advice on the most suitable group if you are unsure of your level. Groups lessons cost £15.

Individual and Academic Tuition
If a group lesson does not appeal, you might wish to consider a one-to-one lesson. This can be in person or via zoom and lessons can be tailored to meet your specific needs.
As an experienced Secondary school teacher, I am also able to offer academic tuition at GCSE and A-level, in person or via Zoom. Contact me for further details as individual lessons can be tailored and for information on the cost.
External events
Spanish Cafe
¡Hablamos! is a more relaxed Spanish group running at The HUB in Consett which allows people to book weekly and attend as and when suits. It is aimed at beginners/near beginners and offers people to chance to meet with other enthusiastic learners in an informal environment.
Social Events
I have hosted sell out evening events for both Spanish and Italian in 2022 and 2023. Casalingua recently delivered a fun night of Spanish at the Land of Oak and Iron and we are are currently making plans for an Italian night! Why not take a look?
