On Saturday 22nd February CasaLingua is delighted to bring ‘Call my quaff’ to Consett - a fun evening of wine tasting run by independent, qualified tutors from Newcastle Wine School!

Over the 2 hours you will taste and learn about wines from Italy, France and Spain. To add to the fun, the two guest presenters will each describe the wines that you have in front of you - but can you tell which one of them is telling the truth? Either way, you get to drink several glasses of delicious wine! There will also be an interval where you will sample a selection of cheeses and charcuterie washed down, of course, with some extra wine.

On Saturday 7th December, CasaLingua students came along - despite the driving wind and rain! - to CasaLingua HQ for a night of Christmas fun with a language themed pub quiz, led by Kim!

After a couple of hours of hard and competitive quizzing, the winners were revealed. Well done to Natalie and her family who went home with a £20 voucher to put towards their next set of lessons. Look out for future quizzes as this will definitely been something that runs again!

CasaLingua has started a new chapter! On Saturday 2nd November, I welcomed new and existing students along to see my lovely new home! I’m really pleased with the way the room looks and feels and I look forward to seeing lots more of you at my future classes and events!

This event was hosted by The Land of Oak and Iron and, as was the case for the Spanish event, it gave the attendees a taste of both Italian food and language!

You may have already experienced a CasaLingua Christmas event - last year the event was so popular that I ran a second date!

On the day of halloween, why not get started early and get the kids dressed up and down to my Day of the Dead extravaganza! Kids will learn all about the different Mexican traditions that surround this celebration as well as some key words connected to the celebration. It's one of my favourites!

On Wednesday 10th April CasaLingua brought a Spanish feel to the Easter holidays as children learned all about how Easter is celebrated in Guatemala! The next children’s event will be advertised soon and will be in late July.

February was all about ignoring the North-east weather and having some carnival fun!

December arrived and CasaLingua hosted two really busy kid’s Christmas events for Spanish. Feliz Navidad!
