Valentines Special - Spanish Superstars Event
When it is?
On Thursday 13th February, 16.00-17.00, join Kim and her Spanish Superstars afterschool club for a special Valentines event! As always, CasaLingua events combine language learning with cultural awareness, and this event is no different!
Where is it?
Unlike previous events at St Cuthberts Church Hall in Shotley Bridge, this is a smaller ‘sit down’ event taking place at CasaLingua Language School on Middle Street, Consett. Due to space constraints, this is a drop-off event and booking is essential. The session is aimed at children (aged 4-11) who are able to focus for an hour (even after school!) and work with a degree of independence.
What will the children do?
There is a lovely Mexican tradition of offering decorated, personalised hearts (corazones) as a gift to those who mean something to them. The hearts represent gratitude, hope, joy and love. Children attending the session will be taught all about this tradition and then they will decorate their own ‘corazón’ to bring home for a special person!
Does my child already need to be attending the CasaLingua Spanish club?
This event is open to all and the children do not need to have any prior knowledge or experience of learning Spanish. This is a good way to introduce children to Spanish and those who enjoy the session and wish to sign up to the weekly club can do so after half term. (depending on availability).
